Mr. Secretary-General of the United Nations
Best regards
The cause of peace is a preoccupation of the United Nations,
and democratic states that respect human rights, and all activists, whether
individuals or non-governmental civil society organizations, share in this
matter.
However, achieving world peace remains elusive, but we still
have hope.
We have searched in depth about the dilemma that stands in
the face of the issue of world peace, and it was and still is a cause for
spreading wars, terrorism, and instability.
We found that the danger lies in dictatorships for the
following reasons:
1- The dictator takes the decision of war without consulting
his people and wars break out according to personal whims.
2- The dictator oppresses his people, controls his country's
media, and shows himself as a democratic person to the world, so the United
Nations will not be able to hold him accountable.
3- The dictator is a major reason for spreading hatred and
despair among his people, which leads them to join the ranks of
terrorism.
In other words, dictatorship in a region is a danger to the
whole world, and not to a specific country.
Whereas all the good offices of the venerable organization
United Nations, have succeeded in getting little work done. We present to
you a project that if it is achieved, peace will prevail throughout the world,
wars will be reduced, armies will be diminished, and terrorism will be
eliminated. It is a project...
"Convention on Protesters Protection"
Yes.. the world needs Convention on Protesters Protection
because it :
- Convention that will prevent dictators from intimidating
people, and grants peoples freedom of opinion and expression.
- Convention that would hold accountable any authority
that suppresses or kills protesters.
the expected results :
First, the dictators whose countries will sign the
Convention will not be able to take any individual decisions that affect world
peace, in anticipation of the wrath of their people
Second, Violations will be curbed, and thus oppressed
peoples will find good hopes in life, far from the despair that drives them to
terrorism
Third, Most of the dictatorial countries, which claim
democracy, will be forced to sign the "Convention on Protesters
Protection", lest they be labeled as rogue states, and thus the power of
dictators around the world will be limited
Fourth, Dictatorship countries that refuse to sign the
Convention will be in an embarrassing situation before the United Nations and
its people, and therefore will not be able to undermine world peace, because
they will bear in mind that their peoples will hold them accountable first,
before the international community
In the end :
We find our call for Convention on protect demonstrators,
which is consistent with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Charter
of the United Nations, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political
Rights. However, all international laws called directly for respecting the
right to demonstrate, and indirectly to the right of (the demonstrator), which
is the human being
As we ask the Secretary-General of the United Nations to
work towards the realization and implementation of the (Convention
Protection of Demonstrators), we ask the leaders of the democratic world, all civil
society organizations, and all human rights activists in the world, to join us
in this call, because the world deserves May peace prevail
